Get the most from your care...wherever that may be. With all three of our plans, you are secure in knowing you're covered anywhere in the United States for urgent or emergent care. And with the Aspire Health Plus Plan, you choose where you want to get your care. The bottom line is, you get care when you need it, where you need it.

Am I Covered While Traveling?

In our HMO Plans (Aspire Health Value and Aspire Health Advantage), you generally must get your care and services from doctors, other healthcare providers, or hospitals in the plan's network (except emergency care, out-of-area urgent care, or out-of-area dialysis).

Our HMO-POS plan (Aspire Health Plus) still requires that you select a primary care physician (PCP) in our network, and we strongly encourage you to seek care in our network, where we can best coordinate your care. However, if you are traveling or choose to seek care outside of Monterey County, you may still do so, as long as you're in the United States or its territories.

This plan feature is great for individuals who travel or visit family for extended periods of time, but still want the peace of mind of having Medicare coverage.

As with ALL of our plans, any urgent or emergency care that arises within the U.S. or its territories is covered, and you do not need to obtain authorization prior to seeking care. Your health and well-being are our primary concern.

Aspire Health Plan members can receive care at any hospital in Monterey County.
